Kansas City, Missouri, Trip
November 3rd and 4th.
Just so you all know, you'll be seeing a lot of photos now as Aaron got me a pretty digital camera just yesterday!!! I'm so happy with it...it is capable of a lot of things!!
For Aaron's birthday, November 4, we decided to make a trip to Kansas City, Missouri. Besides visiting the State, which was my first time, we were able to visit Eva...we'd been promising her a visit for a long time.
The trip was a very good idea....because Eva went all out to make our visit most memorable. We were lodged at her beautiful and spacious apartment at Lees Summit, she had a huge feast for us that Saturday afternoon, took us sightseeing to a nice lake, and then had a surprise birthday party for Aaron at her brother's, Ni Julius's, home. So many friends showed up and some of Aaron's old pals who lived in Missouri too. Then we later went to a new African club and only returned home exhausted, happy, and ready to crash about 3am!!! Sunday, after visiting Eva's church, we went to a huge mall, and then to a beautiful casino for lunch. We returned home later for a quiet evening and my favorite shows on TV. It was a weekend well-spent. When we tried to thank Eva, Ni Ju, Mado (his wife), Izie, Arrey Charles...and all the wonderful people who made our stay so pleasant, we were informed by Ni Ju that it was all a ploy to make us think of moving to settle in Kansas City!!! Hahahahaa!! He almost got us.:-)
The Casino~
Yumm!!
Check out the lighted stairs, and the fake sky!!!
In the guest room!!
I'm being creative from the back seat while Eva drives and chats with Aaron up front~
Our friend here thought he'd just join us for the picture..out of his own initiative. Added a good touch, don't you think???:-)
Ni Ju and Izie. Izie made delicious jollof rice for Aaron's birthday party~
