E - Babies!!!!

Aha, gotcha!!! No, I wasn't talking about e-babies..as in electronic babies!!!:-) I was referring to three precious babies that have all been born during the last 2-3 months and given names beginning with the letter "E" - Emilia, Eliana, and Ese. Isn't that a nice coincidence?

Emilia ~

Elias, my brother-in-law, and his wife, Brita, had Emilia in October. This is Jordan's new sister. Isn't she precious? Eliana ~

Eva's sister, Edna, gave birth to Eliana in September too. And just FYI, Eliana's sister is also Evana [ another E-baby:-) ] Eva visits her new niece
Ese ~

The little champ!! Just look at him. Miranda's sister, Siven, gave birth too last month. The baby is just too cute!!
Miranda is now officially an "auntie"!!! Siven looks on...contented!!!

Baby Shower in the office!!!

Baby Shower for Bonnie, our research supervisor
Bonnie is due on October 28th so we had a baby shower for her in the office. She's sitted in the arm chair in the first and last pictures.

In the first picture, you have Bonnie, her mom in the middle, and Brenda on the right. Brenda is our director of Prospect Management and Research and a very resourceful and knowledgeable person in the development office. She's also one of the best coordinators I've ever had.

Babies, babies, babies!!!!

Laura Asong and her daughter Athena -
Laura and I go way back to our undergrad years. We used to exercise together, cook together, hang out... we were really good friends!! I was so happy to receive this picture of her 9-month old daughter, Athena (she's sitting in the middle)!!

The Aruk Besong Family -
This is another wonderful family. A family of diverse races, this is another example of the race unity so common amongst us Baha'is. Chester (see third picture) is from Cameroon; and his wife, Sayena, is Persian. They live in Oklahoma city. Aren't their girls just cute. See how protectivily Sahar is holding Siera in the second picture!!

The proud mother!!!
Sahar has a little sister!!!!
One happy family!!!
The Dunns have a grand-daughter!-
Beth Dunn and her new grand daughter (born July 3rd), Mya. Beth is one of the coolest people I've ever met. Very resourceful. She was the main organizer of my wedding. She's just wonderful. I also lived with her for the last semester of my Master's program and she took real good care of me. Her husband is Charles and he's a very knowledgeable person too. I actually have some awesome pictures taken at their beautiful home. I should upload those soon. Their son, Evan, has taken many medals in swimming. He's a great swimmer. And then their other daughter, Amy, was a bridesmaid at my wedding. See why they are like my family??!!!

The second picture is of their daughter's, Sarah's, family - Nick, little Mya, & Sarah !!! I am really happy for them.

Beth, the pround granny!!!
Nick, Sarah, & Mya
The Teku Family!!!-
Dibo, Gabby & pretty little Naseem. Dibo and I go back a long, long way. We are like sisters. We used to sing together for many years and participated in many Baha'i teaching projects, meetings and conferences. I really miss her. Last time I saw her was in 2003. They are in Finland now, and Gabby, her hubby, whom I have met several times too, is a delightful and witty person. I can't wait to see them again someday...soon, I hope. And little Naseem, I hear, is just a delight to behold!!
The Moncho Family!-
Amelia Moncho and little Audrey Moncho. Below that are all the three Moncho kids - James, Juliet, & little Audrey. Their dad, Rocky Moncho, is from Botswana and their mom, Amelia, is Persian. Rocky was the M.C. at my wedding and he was simply awesome!!!! So, naturally, we feel bonded to these folks. :-)
The Ashu Family!-
Elias (my brother-in-law) and his son, Jordan. Last time I saw Jordan, I was visiting London in 2003. He was just about 2 years old then. He's such a big and handsome boy now. Unfortunately, Jordan's mom, Brita, isn't in these pictures.

I'm back!!!

Has been so long since I wrote something on my page, I couldn't even remember my log-in:-) Oh well, so I thought I'd upload some recent wonderful developments.

First, my Cameroonian sister, Dibo, and her husband Gabby just had a beautiful baby, Naseem, this September. It is such a wonderful thing because Dibo, Sahar, Claudine, and I used to sing together and hang out together in Cameroon...for many, many years. Actually, all through our eventful lives. So, through her birth, we are all "aunts" now!!! Until I can upload a picture, check out pics of baby Naseem at Sahar's blog: http://sahariabija.blogspot.com/ .

Next, my sister Claudine, just recently arrived the Holy Land, Israel, to serve at the Baha'i World Center. This is a unique experience and wonderful accomplishment for any Baha'i. And so, she is happy, and I am happy for her.

Sahar's brother, Sahba, also recently made it to the U.S to study. He is also like my younger
brother, although he is not so little. He grows like lettuce...very fast.:-)

Cellas did it!!! He tied the knot in July. Weh, my brother, more grease to your elbows. You guys look great!!!

My awesome friend and Ghanaian sister, Genevieve, and her wonderful hubby, Chris, had the cutest baby boy - Papa Ni in August.

My Auntie, Angeline, recently graduated as a Licenced Practical Nurse. She has three wonderful kids, a wonderful husband, and she worked so hard...and I am soooo proud of her. Attended her graduation...it was lovely!!

I am listing these accomplishments, not just so that I share them with you, but as a reminder to me of the great things that have happened in the last few months.

Okay, I'll be back to put up some photos.
